Eighteen young Metropole athletes will receive financial support from the Metropole for 2024. The aim? Prepare for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic games.

Their names are Charles, Myriam, Pierre-Antoine, David, Audrey... and they train daily with the same goal: take part in the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. These young athletes were selected by the Metropole and its partners for their talent in basketball, water polo, athletics, rowing or cycling.

The Metropole awarded them a €4,000 grant to help them prepare. The idea? Help them reconcile their sporting plans with academic or career plans. This support will enable them to finance internships or purchase new equipment. In return, the athletes become ambassadors of the region by committing to wearing the colours of the Metropole during their competitions, here and elsewhere. These young champions-to-be will also take part in various events organised by the Metropole during the year (sports initiations and meetings with schoolchildren, charity races, etc.) to promote the benefits and values of sports among Metropole inhabitants. On the road to 2024!

This stadium will therefore host the final phases of the women’s and men’s handball competitions, as well as the preliminary phases of the men’s and women’s basketball competitions (subject to validation).
