Olympic and Paralympic Week

From 2 to 6 April 2024

The Ministry of National Education in partnership with the French sports movement has organised an Olympic and Paralympic week each year since Paris was designated to be the host city for the Games in 2024.

The 2023–2024 school year is an opportunity for all students to learn more about the Olympics and Paralympics. By discovering sporting disciplines and the events focused on Olympic values such as friendship, respect and excellence, this week will enable new pupils to be integrated and strengthen the cohesion of the class as a whole.

The theme for 2024 is “Celebrating the games and athletes from all over the world”. A spelling bee on the Olympic Torch relay could be carried out at this time.
